its not something we have in the theme options, you would need to customize it.

That’s a necessity because if you have a category with 60 topics, your site will look like ….! 🙂

We totally agree with Rachel on this topic in how a home page looks without any options but customization. We don’t understand why this option wasn’t incorporated into PP Themes as there has been many requests and confusion all the way back to 2013 in the forum trying to ffind a work-abound. Without at least a simple accordian drop down, Classified PP themes impose limitations for commen sense options to things like category display. Lack of flexibility sets us up for custom code alterations which is not at all the point of purchasing pre-designed packaged themes. Today when we asked teck support about this, we were told to limit or hide our sub-categories on the home page or resove to customization which totally contrains our chance to look competitive or even better than some sites unless we hire out customization. If we begin with that, how do we update your theme? We all know that once you begin customization, you are stuck in that world and some of us may not want to budget for that at the get-go until revenue begins to grow.
If this is a difficult option then why not respond to customers the difficulty level or other good reasons not to offer this type of option. Better to be transparant rather than just saying this is not available. How about, this is considered for a future update? We would like to display at the least a competitive looking site without spending a large amount of time trying to create a nice looking home page that saves user time “without customization” for simple options like this. If we must always result to customization for common sense options like category drop-down lists, then we ask why is this a problem to ask for flexibility?

Don, I couldn’t have said any better! What would Amazon look like if it didn’t have drop down menus…? 🙂

Surely there is a plugin for such a thing? Has anyone try searching the WP directory for one?
