product image size & carousel

PART 1:
on the window box by default it is only 600px,
I would like it to be 800,
the 800px X 800px pictures I upload are resized to 600px

PART 2:
on the Carousel for the home page, the images are narrow,
how do I change them to a Wide setting instead of Tall…
it is causing part of the Title to be cut off
I would like only 3 or 4 items on there at a time instead of 5

in this screenshot you can see the carousel at the top and the same listing on the featured listings… on the carousel it is narrow & the title is cut off
