Performed lots of changes in Display setup and then all were lost

    DT 6.6.3 & WP 4.0

    Hi,

We installed the theme. Then we went to Create a Child Theme and selected all three options: Include my custom settings (functions.php), Include my custom styles (style.css), & Include core framework theme styles (style.css). Downloaded, installed and activated the new child theme.

Then we went to Page Setup > Home Page > Display Setup and invested several hours making changes in the Display Setup. Added all necessary text and saved all changes. Tested and everything was working just perfect.

Then, we decided to Activate again the Parent Directory Theme. Then we went back to the Child Theme created. After that, all changes were gone!

Unfortunately, we had no time time a make a backup.

Just trying to figure out what went wrong.

    1. What we did to delete all work done?

    2. Is this normal?

    3. How to prevent this in the future?

    4. Is there any special trick or something when you modify the theme in Page Setup > Home Page > Display Setup so that the changes are not deleted when we activate & de-activate themes?

    5. Anybody experiencing this behavior?

    Thanks.
