Overwrite header.php

I have just downloaded the new version of Shop Theme and am creating a child theme. Inside that theme, I have added header.php (as I need to add code that in areas where there are no hooks) as instructed in the documentation – https://www.premiumpress.com/docs/#FILES but I can’t see my changes.

Do I need to change it to _header.php or do I need to add some code in somewhere else to get it to recognize the new header.php file?

    Hi Jessica,

It will not recognize the header.php on the child theme. Please use filters and hooks functions and place it to your functions.php inside your child theme folder.

Please check this link on how to create child theme
