I have a problem.
And that problem is the original reason I abandoned Premiumpress in favour of Appthemes, which is the awful gallery display on ad listings within Premiumpress.
I am now finding though, that Appthemes is heavily geared up to enlisting new clients at the expense of adding urgently needed basic features in LIVE websites (as opposed to websites under construction) and therefore the final product lacks certain functions that will only be apparent in a working project.
Premiumpress however has all of these Appthemes omissions present within their framework, and so should be wiping the floor with Appthemes.
Except for the presentation of the gallery module.
Is there a way to implement the following, or at least suggest a plugin that would do the job?
1) The gallery within an ad listing is way too large, and distracts a user from realising that there is an actual listing there. I would ideally like to have the gallery on the left, with the advertiser’s custom field inputs displayed on the right, the advertiser’s long description then appearing below these.
2) When an image is clicked, the resulting lightbox starts auto-playing the gallery, giving the user the impression that he has lost control over his displayed content. Is there a way to make the lightbox gallery NOT autoplay?
As I said earlier, these were the main reasons I abandoned my project with Premiumpress in the first place, as I realised straight off that the display was out of control.
Having worked with a theme framework that HAS the desired effect, but which does’t cater for viable live websites, I find myself looking at possibly resurrecting my Premiumpress project.
Is there a way that I could implement the above gallery layouts within a Premiumpress website?
