Moving WordPress and Directory theme to new domain

I’d just like to thank everyone who helped me better understand the Directory theme.
Now its functional in a subdirectory, I need now to move it to its own domain. Is there some way I can do this without recreating everything in that new domain?

I’m thinking that many people must have gotten familiar with their themes on localhost and then moved it to a live domain. I can’t find any way to do this because of the massive number of entries with its current location describing where stuff is.
