message: We hope you enjoy our new website keeps returing after deletion

I’ve attempted several times to replace this sub-title text on the landing page with a more specific message and inviting message and leaving the ‘short description’ part blank. Whenever I do this, a few minutes later it returns to the default ‘subtitle’ text and puts my first edit (10 days ago) of the Short Description message which I delete at each edit. I press ‘save changes’ each time I change this using ‘Default Home Page Design Editor’.

Should I also be saving permalinks when I change this or is there some hidden ‘trick’ to making the change permanent?
