Media wont upload correctly

    I have set my /directorypress/thumbs folder to 777 (well it always WAS) however when I upload images they upload but do not display in all instances.

    This is effecting a) new images and b) shrinktheweb. General settings/images says to change my folder permissions but that is nonsensical as they have always been and continue to be set to 777.

    If you are aware of a resolution to this please let me know!!
