Mandatory Category

Is there a method of creating a mandatory category selection during the listing submission setup? I’d like to be able to set multiple mandatory fields and have these are searchable criteria for the site user. You should not be able to duplicate particular category in the multiple fields created. I see that in 9.2.6 there is a function to enable and “require categories” but can you specify a required category or user defined multiple categories as above?
