Lost control of site

I have a website using Version 7 DirectoryPress. I keep it current on its updates, however, apparently I've recently lost control of the site. I cannot log into Wordpress via the admin page. I have logged into cpanel and changed the password in the database, making sure it was designated MD5. Still can't log in. I would like to gain control again and get it updated without having to totally redo the site. Any ideas? Thanks! Kelly Ling

Try > FTP > disable all the plugins then try again 😉

Kelly, support & updates for PremiumPress ended in 2013. You really should update your sites to the new Responsive Themes series.

@Kelly, Clive is right but obviously you still need to gain access to you Admin.

    Look at the tips here:

Oh, I totally agree that I messed up and didn’t get it updated. It’s a very low key site at the moment. Disabling the plugins AND child theme did not work. I’ve done several things already from the codex area. Still no joy. Probably going to rebuild and import the data that is there already.

    Thanks for your suggestions!

    Hello Kelly,
You can try contacting your host and request for a backup copy of your site

Are you using any security plugins Kelly – like Wordfence?
