Listing do not delete when time expires.

Good day.
I’m busy setting up a new classifieds site http://www.industrialtrader.co.za but I have the following 2 problems.
1. the first is that when a listing is posted in the carousel with a set time of one day, the listing do not delete after the set period. currently it is set to delete after the one day period. (currently it is set for one day for testing purposes) do I miss something in the setting up.
2. my other problem is that the time is set only for 22hrs and not 24hrs. currently i had to change the time setting to UCT+2 to accomodate my current time zone in South Africa. must i change to another time zone or how do i set the time for 24hrs instead of 22. I tried to use fractions of a day like 0.8 of a day instead of 1 day without success.
