I took days and days setting up all my business categories and sub categories (there were about 107) and adding meta tags to them etc one by one and now even though I have not touched them or their settings since set up weeks ago some have disappeared from places and are all messed up!…
I had a problem with my packages not working so tech support told me to delete all packages using the tools in the admin (I did NOT at any point delete anything else or anything related to categories) and re add them and which I did and they seem to be fine … it was only when I went to add a test listing I noticed tons of my categories have gone!!
There are some missing in the actual admin >categories and in the front end home page main search by category https://www.findamoraybusiness.co.uk/test/ but weirdly in any of the drop down search menus the missing ones are all at the bottom but not in their main categories ie Estate Agents was in a main category called Business Services which has disappeared!
Also there are ones missing such as web design, graphic design etc
I just dont understand what is happening/how this can happen? If they had all disappeared then maybe but some there, some moved , some showing in search but not in admin area! and I have NOT touched the categories since set up! I had no need as I had spent so many days setting them up I was happy with them.
I cannot face having to try and spend days re adding them – it does not fill me with confidence in this theme if unrelated vital important areas like this can start reacting like this!
Any suggestions welcome … this is turning into a nightmare theme now!
