Listing approval OFF -> still approval is required…

Changes to a listing require approval (admin publication) even with Enable Approval for editing a listing on OFF. On DT 8.8 and earlier versions.

Listing approval is OFF but still my approval (re-publish the listing) is required… Paid listing owners of featured listings (paid manually, I have not used DT for this) are really annoyed with this because their listing is invisible until I notice the listing manager having a pending approval.

-> 2 questions please:

1. How can I fix this? I already have the Listing approval “enable approval” set to OFF… That should be enough based on theme documentation?

2. How can I at least get a notification of listings that are edited and therefore go to an unpublished status? (as work around until #1 is solved). I only get the ‘listing pending approval’ email for new listings (in line with my setting for default listing status -> pending admin review).
