How to style heading

I’ve just (mostly) completed a revamp of my site shoppingdeals4u.com. It was a good experience, learning a lot of css and html, so now it is running on 6.5.6.

However there is one object that I have failed to add styling to, no matter what I tried.

It’s the heading saying Welcome to Shoppingdeals4u, under the search bar to the left of the slider on top of the homepage. I tried styling the panel-heading, and tried giving it its own class and define styling for that. None worked.

The element is a widget using the plugin Widgets on Pages and I tried adding the styling to the css of the plugin as well as to the stylesheet of the theme. I just couldn’t do it.

I want to make the heading purple and colour white, as the rest of the site. Can someone assist with this? Where does the css go for this one, and what class? Site is shoppingdeals4u.com. Any other feedback is welcomed too.
