How can I randomize the post on a search_result page and on category page ?

Like that of, I can randomize in home page Recent Listing block.

You can use this plugin :
    https://premiumwebservices.co.uk/shop/responsive-themes-plugins/order-listings-package-id/

Work well to display random search_result page and on category page. Works also with recent listing block

@Marie – the Default system set (no order) looks as though it is in a random order but the results are in the same order each time you go to a category so it isn’t random.

@Nathan – is this plugin working for you? I’ve had problems with it.

Right @Janak, the System default (no order) is not random.

Mark should add a Random option here.

I believe a random option should be added – it can’t be difficult and it was present in Directorypress, as was order by package id.

I think it’s reasonable to expect these when they were in the old theme – it comes as a shock when you upgrade to find they are not!

Mark, is it as easy to add these as we assume?

@Nathan – what theme and what version are you using? Does it work ok when you have more than 1 page for a category or a search? My problems occur on page 2 onwards with duplicates appearing here and there.

@i use the last version of Business theme.
There is no duplicate but each time you go to page 2 or page 3 it’s random so you can see same listings on page 2 or page 3

@Nathan thanks for the info. I regard this as a bug – if I have 20 listings for a category I expect to see all 20 over the 2 pages, not see some twice and some not at all.
