How center the widget or merge its background color with page background color?

I want the widget to be placed in the center of the area allotted to it. It looks awkward to see it placed at the left side instead of in the center. Alternatively, if the background color matches with the page color it will be much better with all the widgets left aligned or right aligned or center aligned.
