Help with getting memberships / packages sorted :)

Hi, I really would like some help with getting the directory press system setup as i keep going in circles accross a few directories i have going.

What i would like to do is setup 3 memberships (and payment options)- (got this part sorted) each of the memberships have specific packages depending on what level of membership they have chosen. ie. free has less features in their listing than option 3. so i have setup packages (got that part fine)

So the issue is. … after they have paid for their membership and go to fill in their listing… they then are presented with the packages page to chose their package but i dont want someone who has chosen the free membership to be able to chose in a package listing which is only available to the premium membership but it seems to enable them to chose from any of the packages setup…. and then comes the issue that their membership fee covers the payment for their listing i dont want to charge them another fee at this point… for the package.

so i am just confused how to get this working, how i need it to. I tried disabling packages and just working off memberships.. but then all of the members get the same listing features … and that doesnt make sense either

my logical thought is that they only have access to certain packages depending on what membership they are subscribed to. (similar to the pages and listings work) but the system doesn’t seem to work like this… any suggestions on how i can get something similar happening?
