Hello. Has anyone ever done this with imported listings?

This is driving me really crazy – My site’s 90% ready for launch and I’ve been trying to get the search sorted for weeks now – have read about Advanced Search setups, google maps being turned on, etc. Apologies in advance for vagueness – I have a head cold 🙁

I’ve filled every field the exported CSV file had, plus a few extra for good measure, so I am assuming my data is good. I have compared imported data with manually added listings and they both have the same fields filled.

Could someone please let me know the following:
Have you imported CSV data and automatically had the listing’s google map and Advanced Search work. ie. Pin appears on the map and Country, State etc fields in the Advanced Search dropdown are populated?

My Advanced location search only seems to work when I go into the listing, zoom right down onto the street and click on the map. I can’t do this for all listings as there are many places I would have no idea where they are on the map.

What specific fields is the map relying on?

Many thanks for any help – I am planning on paying for help through the Job Desk for other things but I’d love to know the basics of how this search works, since it’s been very elusive.
