Dropdown menu too small in main menu bar

Hi there, this may be quite easy, but I cannot figure this out:

I have several sub-menu items and the drop-down menu area does not seem to increase. Some links are therefore either under the box, or I need to make the typeface tiny. (see screenshot) Where can I change the size of this drop-down area/ field?
