DirectoryPress – Sidebars

I purchased this theme in an attempt to save time messing around with free themes and trying to create a business directory wordpress site but I find myself wasting just as much time trying to understand why/where the Sidebars can be added to pages in order to add widgets?

Please help.., why does the DirectoryPress theme not have functioning Sidebars (after all it is suppose to be a fully functioning tries and tested Theme, isn’t it?)?

Sorry for the rant… but its frustrating to purchase (what is advertised as…) as fully functioning Theme when it’s not.
