Can you please tell me where I can change the Welcome Email Name to something else. It is always coming From “WordPress” I would like to change that to our Name. I downloaded SB Welcome Email and it still does not change it. Any help is appreciated it.
you could put this in your _functions.php
add_filter( ‘wp_mail_from’, ‘email@example.com’ );
add_filter( ‘wp_mail_from_name’, ‘your_site_name’ );
or Mr Bonk has a spiffy little plugin – http://premiumwebservices.co.uk/shop/premiumpress-plugins/mailfrom-for-premiumpress/
Thanks for sharing Ian
VERSION 3.4 works fine for me, I if update it it stops working?
not following your last question, update what? WP, plugin,theme?
There is a recent update for welcome email editor ( version 3.9 ) if I update it my emails are from just WordPress again even though the settings have not changed. That’s SP mind you but I suppose it’s the same result in all of the themes.
David, why don’t you try the FREE ‘Mailfrom for PremiumPress’ plugin? (http://premiumwebservices.co.uk/shop/premiumpress-plugins/mailfrom-for-premiumpress/)
Richard, think I have it one one of my sites. I usually just leave the sites be until something arises.
Mario, You can try this wordpress plugin ‘wp mail from’. You just search inside the wordpress plugin and you will find it there. I have been using it for all my wordpress websites and it word well.
It will just ask you for two things in the setting that you will have to include. These are ‘From email address’ and ‘From email name’. You will find the plugin very useful for your emails.
I went to check out with http://premiumwebservices.co.uk/checkout/ and it is not taking my USA Zip Code to download the plug in. Is this only for UK users?
@Mario, can you email me your issue to firstname.lastname@example.org? This is the first time I hear about issue with entering a Zip Code. The site has no limitation on the place you are from, quite opposite, majority of our customers are from USA.
Did you put in the country first?
LOL Ok it was uhm… how can I say it… uhm… User error… Thanks everyone! It was me.
