When I try to edit a slider in my Directory theme, it always opens the wrong slider item.
Also, a couple of times now, when I add a new slider to both my directory theme and job theme, it scrambles the custom css thats been done on my site! Changed the footer background colour and the menu bar styles.
Very frustrating tbh
Tell us a bit about your setup, what versions of wp and dp for example, maybe a link to site if possible.

I have WP version 3.6.
My site is a multisite network of 3 sites, DirectoryPress, Employee-theme and the classifieds-theme.
Unfortunately the site is not finished and still has a maintenance page up so it’s not possible to show yet.
Basically for some reason, when adding or editing sliders, sometimes it plays havoc with display settings and custom css. This time, it messed with settings in “GENERAL WEBSITE STYLES”, “NAVIGATION / MENU BAR STYLES” and “FOOTER STYLES” as well as some custom css.
One thing I have noticed is an issue with the tabs at the top of the “Display Settings” areas. When I’m in the slider area, the “Slider” tab that should be in light grey (to illustrate that I am in the slider area) is still dark and the “Layout” tab in shown in light grey instead, suggesting that I’m in the layout area when I’m not.
I can’t help but feel that this is a big part of the problem, what do you think?
At the minute, a developer is doing my custom css as I’m not a coder, so I can’t redo those bits myself (can obviously change the settings in “Layout” myself) but effectively it’s costing me money every time this happens!
I’m wondering if this is a problem with the themes or a multisite issue.
there is a hosting firewall issue that if you add https:// links to your slider items they will be dropped and the links are setup with the wrong index or for some hosts, they just dont get added.
if you remove all items and add them again does this reset the indexing?
Coincidentally, the tab issue has just happened again (30 seconds after writing the post above), so I took a screenshot …
there isnt much i can do for DP atm, ill review this for the next update.
Ok. What about the other themes though? Do you have a approx timeframe for the next update? (no pressure) 🙂
do you mean when will i be updating the non-responsive themes?
You said there wasn’t much you could do for DP at the mo, this issue happened to my employee theme too ..
Btw, what is the difference between a non-responsive theme and a responsive theme?
its the same framework for all the non-responsive themes so it will affect all im afraid.
the responsive themes are a completely new build.
