Custom Fields for Individual Categories

I am not sure if this is already possible… But I am looking to be able to add custom fields to specific categories and have some custom fields pre-filled, so when a customer is looking to sell an item, they select a category, then the manufacturer, then model number, and the system will have most of the listing pre-determined to save them time and provide more detail oriented description to listings.

For example: Printing Equipment & Machinery (category)
Custom Fields: Manufacturer, Model Number, Serial Number, Year, etc.

Pre-filled Custom Fields: Machine Speed, Width, Weight, etc.
Based on the machine specifically and Based on the users selection.

In a more simple aspect, if I were able to create custom fields assigned to parent categories individually would be a start.
