Current Price issues

    Hello

The weirdest thing is happening from what I can see with the current price. It almost seems as if every other bid is not taken into account.

    • With a new auction and a starting bid of 50
    • User A bids at 50. The Current Bid is now 51
    • User B bids at 61. The Current Bid is still showing 51</strong ! User B is shown as highest bidder though.
    • User A bids at 61. Current Bid is now 62.
    • Repeat the last two steps. Basically User B’s bid value is never taken into account although he is seen as highest bidder.

Any idea why this is happening ?

    Thank you

    Hi Rachel,

I have just posted a solution to this issue! :-) (see “STRAIGHTFORWARD BIDDING – SOME ENHANCEMENT”).

    Kind regards,
    Attila

Thanks Attila. Not sure if this helps my specific situation but useful nonetheless. What I’d like is that bidding inconsistency to be fixed so that User B (in my example) actually has an impact on the current price when he bids.

Any ideas on how to fix that ?

    Thanks

    Hello Mark.

I’ve tried the files you sent but nothing’s changed and I still get user b’s bids to not change the current price.

    Hi Mark,

Could this file with a simpler solution be made public? :-) (I am having the same issue as Rachel.)

    Thankx,
    Attila

This bidding system does not function properly. The 3rd bidder can bid less than the second bidder and end up being the High bidder.

    Thank you Mark,
Both for your quick response and for the files. This seems to have fixed the major part of the bidding issue although I have my bid increments set at 50 cents and the (Min. Bid (??)) comes up as 1 dollar more than the current high bid. The issue is that as a user I could bid just 50 cents more but I would not know that by looking at the (Min. Bid), I would need to know the sites minimum bid increment.

I am having some other issues that are less critical but I don’t want to continue picking at this if an update is on the way as I had read earlier.

    Thank you again.
    Kindest Regards,
    Jim
