Coupon Manager Categories and WP Categories: What's the difference?

Hi there,

Total newbie question: A ‘Store’ in Couponpress terminology is basically a category page, right? So, what’s the difference between Couponpress categories and WordPress categories?

I would like to add a few stores to my main menu, but the Couponpress stores don’t appear in the WP ‘Category’ list where I add a menu item. Do I have to add these using a custom link?
