Controlling where Widgets Display

I am using the latest version (8) Shopper Press RESPONSIVE

If I ad a text box widget to the RIGHT column of the pages and home page (using 2 column set up) the text box populates in the left column of the Footer also.

If I go to the footer and remove the widget, or click that I don’t want it to show, it then removes it also from the right column of the pages.

it is so frustrating. Moreover, seeing as I have put a form into the text box, and the colors don’t work with the colors in the footer.

I need it to show ONLY in the right column of the pages and home page….not in the footer.
