I need to make changes to the layout of printed coupons. It appears to me that regardless of how I change the layout of the listing page, a printed coupon layout never changes. Currently, a printed coupon:
-Does not include the Short Description (not a big deal)
-Does include the date the coupon was created (who cares? a coupon user wouldn’t)
-Does include a statement of when the coupon expires, but in a useless form, such as
“Expires 21 days, 15 hours, 22 minutes, 40 seconds.” This is entirely useless information for a coupon that someone would print – 21 days from when? And the minute detail is just a waste of space. The coupon should read: Expires October 5, 2013. Nothing else.
-Does include the URL for the coupon. Somewhat useful, but not essential.
Anyway, I can’t find where to configure the printed coupon layout. I want to use the new responsive theme to allow my customers to pull up their coupons on their own websites, in iframes. The responsive angle makes the layout simple on their sites because the contents auto-layout in the space provided, they just need to make the frame big enough. This more than doubles the exposure and value to merchants, but the data has to be useful.
