Change font and link color

I am trying to change the font and link color in my site but cannot achieve this through the color changes section. When I change it, my screen shows the code at the top of my site. How do I fix this?

Select the colors you wanted, click on the button ‘Generate New Style Code’ and Save the changes.

I am new to this theme and coding, can someone please give me specific directions with this problem.

The code follows,

</style><style type="text/css"> h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, #core_menu_wrapper .navbar .nav > li > a { font-family: !important; }</style></style type="text/css">body { background:#fff0e0; border:0px; }
.btn, .btn-primary, .core_advanced_search_form .btn, .btn:hover, ul.items.list_style li .btn { background:#f49021; color: #fff;
text-shadow: 0 0px 0px #fff;}
#core_header, #core_header_wrapper { background:#f49021; border:0px; }
#core_header_navigation, #core_header_navigation .navbar-inner { background:#f07215; border:0px; }
#footer,#core_footer_wrapper { background:#f07215;}
#footer, #footer .footer-block-title h3, #core_footer_wrapper #footer h3 { color:#ffffff;}
#footer { background:#f07215;}
#core_footer_wrapper #footer_bottom { background:#f49021;}

Try this:
<style type=”text/css”> h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, #core_menu_wrapper .navbar .nav > li > a { font-family: !important; }</style></style type=”text/css”>body { background:#fff0e0; border:0px; }
.btn, .btn-primary, .core_advanced_search_form .btn, .btn:hover, ul.items.list_style li .btn { background:#f49021; color: #fff;
text-shadow: 0 0px 0px #fff;}
#core_header, #core_header_wrapper { background:#f49021; border:0px; }
#core_header_navigation, #core_header_navigation .navbar-inner { background:#f07215; border:0px; }
#footer,#core_footer_wrapper { background:#f07215;}
#footer, #footer .footer-block-title h3, #core_footer_wrapper #footer h3 { color:#ffffff;}
#footer { background:#f07215;}
#core_footer_wrapper #footer_bottom { background:#f49021;}
#core_footer_wrapper #footer_bottom, #core_footer_wrapper #footer_bottom a { color:#ffffff;} </style>
Always remember that your code should always be inside tags…Ex: <script> </script>, <html></html>, <body> </body>

Ps: For every open tag, you need a closing tag <html> </html> is an example, notice the < / >
