Carousel listings

Hello.
Some advice sought please for how to amend the look and feel of the listings displayed within the Carousel.
I’m using the new PP Page Builder and have added a Carousel.
The listings don’t look very good (see “not_so_good”). I don’t like how the buttons line up, I’d prefer not to have a double-boarder, and the bottom of the listing doesn’t align to the one beside it.
An example of one I like is by Brian for his Segway tours directory (see “like_this_one”).

I’d appreciate any pointers…
