Hi, I would really like users to not be able to add their own tags or categories, is there a way to stop them doing this by disabling the add new value option in the category drop down? or making them choose from a selection of “tags/keywords?

While I can’t speak for the OP, I would like to eliminate the ability of a user to add new taxonomies on their submission form and only let them select from the list I have created.

    Cheers!

Maybe you’ve tried this, but did you “Tick to Hide” the Tags/Keywords button under the Submission > Default Submission Fields section? Once upon a time I remember having an option for users to add their own tags from the dropdown but it’s gone now… don’t remember 100% how I did it though!

You cant disable categories as this is needed but you can turn off some fields under the Submission > Default Submission Fields in the admin area.
