Brandon you on shared hosting, vps etc??
Ouch, well hope you find and fix the problem.
Business like yours you should be looking at something like this.
Nice root server for the price. Private and secure.
Not affiliated or anything myself, I just setup and manage webservers as you probably know.
I must have Server in USA.
And it must have cPanel. I do not know how to manage
That company is in the US but yeah not managed and no CP, nice price tho for a root server.
Doubt if you would get cheaper, you could use Virtualmin which is the same as CPanel and free but then you need it managed, not that difficult when you get the hang of things.
I just manage servers in Europe, be nice to branch out
Tempted to try one out for 3 months or so myself.
Zarko? You stated earlier that if people wish to continue using 7.14 they have to down grade??
Which is a daft statement due to security reasons.
If you want to continue using shopperpress you would have to downgrade wordpress and use old version 3.7 or lower. Also PHP version should be 5.3 or 5.2 on your server
I have not seen any official announcement on this?
Also Mark has promised to keep it working with any WP Core updates!
Can you verify once and for all and clarify things as many of us are still using the v7 themes and love them.
Brandon, can confirm its a php -v issue, 5.5 is a no go.
I expect is can be sorted quite easily, It’s nothing to do with WP version by the looks.
But if you down grade your php things will come right.
I moved my site to Ubuntu 14.04 server I have with php -v 5.5+ and get the checkout error.
You must have or your hoster upgraded.
Mark Fail has just not mentioned this it seems.
The function mysql_real_escape_string is deprecated from PHP version 5.5 which seems to be the problem.
Mark is the php expert anyway and he should be able to fix his code in this instance so that the superb SP 7.14 functions as it should.
Common Mark, keep with your words and loyal customers.
I have asked my hosting to do a Complete System Restore back to May 5th 2016
I will let you know what happens.
It can be solved but I don’t have the time to solve Mark Fails code problems.
my cPanel has access to switch from PHP 5.5 to 5.3, 5.4
But I will wait on Complete Restore and see what version the PHP is set on.
Brandon, I don’t think a restore will solve anything … your hoster has done with server setup, also beware you may lose sales records etc.
If Restore does not resolve issue then where do I go from there.
Also I do not mind losing Sales Records.
