Building the Home Page

I have been trying to build my current home page to look like the home page I had before updating to version 8.9. I have not had any luck getting it close or improving. For some reason, when I tried to preview what the home page would look like as two columns instead of one, it saved the changes automatically and I lost everything. Am I able to use the old home page editor to rebuild the page?

Ideally, I would like the page to have:

Header
Menu
Slider (with four or five image options) (in the picture it shows the search box)
Four image boxes
Home Page Featured Listings
Blog
Footer

An example of what it used to look like is attached. I appreciate any and all help!
