auto update option not working

I still can’t get the auto update option, “Update prices every 24 hours” to work. When I click in the box, it doesn’t hold the checkmark. The “show amazon comments” holds the checkmark and works fine.

This is a big problem because the amazon list prices that show for my products on my site are significantly higher than the current price on amazon.

Another problem is that the colors of the shopperpress main theme (blue) are overriding the colors of my child theme (red). The main menu, footer and search button in the header are blue.
