Author Widget Location Country Flag incorrect

For some reason the Country Flag next to my name in the Author widget is wrong, and it comes up wrong here too when I try a demo (see attached screenshot, I live in Canada)! My location marker on the map is in the correct place/country, but even after I update my location, the flag remains wrong.

I checked my IP and it comes up in my country, so it’s not a proxy issue. It might also be that my site is not location aware anymore…I don’t get the same window popping up on my website as it does here, asking me if I want to share my location.

Can I remove the flag .png altogether from the author widget? Has anyone here had this issue?
