Adding a new search field in the custom fields setup area for advanced searches.

I would like to search by phone numbers like the author does in the video tutorial on search setup. In the video, he chooses “phone” from the search field list, but in my choice of selections, there is no “phone’ selection to choose.
Can I add this option to the search fields?

Also, my advance search box shows up on my homepage, but none of the advance search fields that I compose; such as keyword, or catagory show up. I have made sure to save my changes when I select them, but still they are no shows.
