@ Mark,
I’m now looking at the ‘Email Setup> Mailing List > Send Email’ :
The average/typical Host/ISP does not allow more than 450-500 email sends per hour on shared severs.
This makes this tool difficult to use as the ‘Admin’ would be penalised by Host/ISP for exceeding pre-defined limits. Not forgetting as well, that most if not all the emails sent will not get through as the Host/ISP will throttle/stop the send?
So I have 100k list of existing member to send to.; so have I missed something here? Is there a send control somewhere?
So I was thinking, as this is a critical aspect of marketing; would it not be an idea to add a ‘message throttle’ so that sending limits could be set/fixed, hence, the Admin or their Domain, would not get penalised?
I don’t like the idea of using third party senders such as Mailchimp etc, never have as in my view, only those who Spam (without consent) use such services as most ‘hide’ their real name/domains.
For me, I like the end user ‘know’ I sent them the message, after all its consensual, so no issues. Not least because I like control over the data I have been entrusted to protect.
Not a criticism you understand, just an opinion; but you get my point right?
