Removal of http:// for URL link.

Good day,
is there a way to enter the website link like example http://www.industrialtrader.co.za instead of https://www.industrialtrader.co.za or even maybe per-populate the field.
Unfortunately website users have become accustomed to only entering the www. or on browsers like Firefox that only make use of the website name like industrialtrader.co.za
i found a post in the forum from 10 October 2014 with the same request but could not find a solution to the previous post.
