Reloading directory theme

Hi,

I’ve been trying to use the lets cook child theme with directory press and have ended up with more problems than I started with.

I’d loaded directorypress OK and tried to add the child theme in the same way. WordPress complained that it could not find the parent theme [XXX].

I tried amending the css file header manually, including adding an @import and the error went away but still to all appearances the site looked like the standard directorypress theme.

I then decided to start again so removed both themes (through the WP dashboard) and then tried to upload directorypress again.

WP insisted that the directory already existed. On looking, yes it did, so I retried – checking it was not there before uploading but the same error message was returned.

I tried manually deleting the directory as well…still no luck.

I’m now without directory press or the lets cook child theme.

Any ideas about where to go next?
