Confused about setting the email management section

so there are two columns on the email management section. on the right column does each of those boxes need an specific email made for it and then selected? so there are about 17 of those. do they each need one and if so, which ones need which shortcodes? i watched the video of course but it didn’t answer the questions i am asking so looking for advice, help or a guide etc. thanks guys:-)
