question about the php max execution time for server

on my initial install the checklist shows: “Max Execution Time
max_execution_time 100 or more 30” and is in red. i contacted my hosting company and they said they cannot raise the setting on the server from 30 to 100. i just looked at the demo site here and it says the same as above. my question is will the coupons work fine on 30 instead of 100? what d oes that server setting mean to us? thankyou;-)
