Header Border

I’ve a problem with the header back ground size not going all the way over to the border! If you take a look at my site, you’ll see I’ve placed the header back ground colour in red so you can see my problem. My logo which sits on top I’ve tried extending the width to cover the short fall on the back ground, but it didn’t work!!

the back ground does not run the width of the header, so I’m left with a horrible grey bit of border, which looks very poor design! Has anyone got any tips for making this header look correct??
