Maps and Marker Pins

I’ve got a couple more questions on maps and marker pins …

Rather than have the Google map on the home page, can it be put on a separate page of it’s own, with a menu link to it? I have played around with shortcodes but have had no luck so far.

As for marker pins, I have uploaded my own for each of my categories … works fine on the Google Map on the home page … problem comes when you advance search … or even select a single listing (though the latter is less of a problem – as of course there is only one.)

For example, say I use advanced search for New York City, and three of my categories show up …. all of these are now shown as the default green “i” pin rather than the nice individual icons I have chosen.

Any way to fix this?
