Reduce Chargebacks from CC Fraud – Log and Display User IP Address to Admin

One big problem with managing a dating site is the use of stolen credit cards to purchase premium memberships for spamming a scam.

Quite often the scammer will place a fake ad for a popular country but their IP will be from one of a handful of countries, which seem to have endless access to fresh stolen cards.

They will then proceed to purchase a top membership and start spamming members for the purpose of luring them into a money scam.

It is very important to detect and block this type of activity as early as possible.

One way to filter out a lot of would be scammers is to compare IP addresses to a members stated location.

Another is to sandbox messages sent by newly upgraded premium members, so members aren’t hit with spam from scammers. And proactively refund suspect transactions to avoid charge-back fees, which banks love charging BTW.

* Is there any recommended way to add IP logging for site usage and allowing the admin to see this in the listings?

* Is there any way to sandbox messages until the member has been confirmed legitimate by the admin?
