How to display "main-searchbox" on homepage + listings + search results ?

Hi

I managed to finally integrate the “main-searchbox” in my child theme (i placed it in _functions.php) but if face 2 problems:

1) It displays only on homepage (well like on original theme) but i’d like to have it displayed on homepage, all istings and search results (not on pages)

2) I integrated the css from main-searchbox in my childtheme .css but, whereas i changed to background colour, it has no effects, color remains the same.

Any idea how i can do that?
