Email problems

I feel like I am being picky here as this Directory theme is without doubt standing head and heels above the rest in a very cluttered marketplace.

I am uploading 20k listings (over a two month period) and need to send a welcome e-mail specifically for this upload.

I created a welcome email and needed to use the shortcodes as follows

Login Here: (link) This link actually goes to the add listing page, so I deleted it and tried to add a link from the options toolbar and it just didn’t let me enter anything except the hosted pages and even then didn’t save, just froze! Is there any way to set this to go to their listing or even the default login page?
I didn’t use the NEW LISTING email as the codes I needed didn’t seem to work?
Username: (user_login) This worked fine
Password: (password) this worked fine.

My last question is:
When importing bulk listings with e-mail included will it send out the welcome email?
