Adding the thumbnails to the recently added listings boxes

I am using Directory press 6.5.7
Ok what am I missing.. I see no where for the new signups to add an image that will appear in their listing boxes on the front page. I have Require image upload turned on . yet I see nothing for the submitter to add an image. I can see the area in the admin panel .. but not as a “listing submitter”

also how do I make a listing that never ends..
