Is 6.5.5 page width going to stay wider?

    I have 2 sites running 6.3 and the page width is 940px, and the columns are 600 & 290. I just loaded 6.5.5 on my test site, and the page wide is 1170 and the 2 columns are 363 and 757. Can someone tell me if the wide template is permanent or not? Or will the new versions go back the narrow template when is is complete? Thanks.
