Child Theme Creation

Hi,

I’m creating a child theme for my site and have created a _single.php file. I’m having trouble linking to certain things, such as hits, images, putting in the comments code etc.

Where can i find all these snippets of code, be in in a file in RP or documentation?

Also what is the short php code to get to the child theme directory when linking to images etc?
