Changing Featured Listing Background

    Hi

    Built a child theme. Want to change the featured listing background to something textured. I tried changing in the CSS section of the Design Setup but im doing something wrong as the picture is not appearing?

    I tried adding in background:img/trans1.png; where ytans1 is the image to be shared by the search box and the featured listing.

    any ideas?
