    What is the best way to implement a child theme?

    I’ve tried a couple of the online tutorials, but the results are not 100%. I’ve made changes to a couple of the Responsive Video Theme’s style sheets, as well as header.php and footer.php.

    I’ve also changed some of the images used by the theme as well. Do all files that get changed have to be placed within the child theme directory?
